No Debuchy No Problem, Arsenal Eye Juventus Right Back

According to the latest reports, Arsenal are  preparing a Janaury bid for Juventus’ right back Stephan Lichtsteiner.

Wenger is looking to add more depth to the squad in January, especially in defensive department. After Debuchy’s injury, the gunners were forced to use Chambers as a multi-tasking backup, playing in both central back and right back position in recent games. Now with Koscielny sidelined too, they must rely on young Bellerin at the right back spot.

Experienced Stephan Lichtsteiner could solve this crisis and will certainly add the much needed depth to the Gunners’ squad. Along with experience and skills, the Swizz right-back has versatility in his game to play anywhere in right midfield or even as a winger if the situation demands it.

Stephan Lichtsteiner will be out of contract this Summer, so Juventus may accept any cheap bid that comes in their way this January, so that he won’t leave for free end of this season. Juventus are already linked with  Udinese’s Silvan Widmer as a replacement for Lichtsteiner.

Only negative in this deal is Lichtsteiner who already featured in Champions League for Juve, will be cup tied in Europe if he joins Arsenal.
