Sergio Aguero’s deft second half goal ensure Manchester City would beat Manchester United in a heatedly contested derby on Sunday afternoon. United were lucky to be still in the game after the first half as referee Michael Oliver put in a shocking shift in the Manchester derby. While Chris Smalling was rightly sent off, City were denied two clear penalties. First it was Marouane Felliani who brought down Sergio Aguero and then it was Marcos Rojo who was lucky to stay on after he clearly tripped Yaya Toure right on stroke of half time.

But Rojo dislocated his shoulder in the second half and has to be stretchered off. This mean that United had to field a makeshift defense which only had two natural defenders. Have a look at this picture.

Anton Valencia was drafted in as right back while Luke Shaw played in his natural left wing back role. As Rojo was stretchered off, substitute Paddy McNair partnered Micheal Carrick in the heart of the defense. yet somehow City just won by 1-0.
