Manchester United are set to face Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon as the Red Devils look to bounce back from last weekend’s derby against Manchester City. United’s poor start to the season has seen them earn just 13 points from 10 games under new manager Louis Van Gaal and they currently lie tenth in the Premier League standings.

The weather conditions too are getting intense at Manchester and its almost freezing as temperature has dropped to 9 degrees and its certain to drop more as the Christmas period draws near. Here is a picture of Wayne Rooney who dons his gloves in training ahead of weekend’s clash. Rooney had a good game personally against City last weekend but couldn’t prevent his ten man side avoid defeat.

Several other players including the fit again Ander Hererra was pictured alongside Juan Mata as Van Gaal ditched out instructions. United would be expected to steamroll past Palace with ease.

The Red Devils though have a shortage of centre-backs and might use Michael Carrick for assurance. Marcos Rojo (shoulder), Phil Jones (shin), Chris Smalling (suspension) and Jonny Evans (ankle) are all unavailable, with right-back Rafael a major doubt with a hamstring injury.
