Chelsea Player Ratings Against Liverpool – Costa Delivers Yet Again

 Liverpool

Liverpool

Simon Mignolet  – 6/10

Made some fine saves but looked unusually shaky with the ball at his feet.

Glen Johnson – 5/10

Struggled against the tricky Hazard. Baffling how he keeps his place over the impressive Manquillo.

Martin Skrtel – 6/10

Solid at the back in spite of enduring a very tough 90 minutes against the physical Diego Costa.

Dejan Lovren – 5.5/10

Struggled to stake a claim after being dropped for the Madrid game. Costa ran the Croat ragged.

Alberto Moreno – 6/10

The 22-year-old struggled at times defensively yet showed lots of potential going forward.

Steven Gerrard – 6/10

The skipper struggled to stamp his authority on proceedings and off the pace when defending.

Emre Can – 8/10

The young German’s best game in a Red shirt.  Scored the opener and brought dynamism to the midfield.

Jordan Henderosn – 5.5/10

The 24-year-old was far from his best – sloppy at time in possession yet worked hard for the team.

Phillipe Coutinho – 8/10

Arguably, Liverpool’s best player on the park – great feet, work-rate and attacking impetus.

Raheem Sterling – 7/10

The 19-year-old looks jaded and far from his best. Yet always a threat when on the ball.

Mario Balotelli – 6/10

For all the Italian hard-work, he simply doesn’t seem to have a goal in him.
