Tottenham’s Harry Kane announced himself well and truly in the Premier League as he helped Spurs demolish Chelsea by 5-3 on new year’s day at White Hart Lane. Tottenham fans sang, “Harry Kane, he’s one of our own” but as Daily Star reveals he was an Arsenal reject at a young age.
The report claims that Brentford’s match-day programme it has emerged that Kane actually started out at Arsenal but was rejected after trials. Arsenal youth product Nico Yennaris revealed Kane’s past.
“There’s quite a few. Chuks Eneke, Benik Afobe, Harry Kane and Ryan Fredericks. Harry got let go at a young age and i think Ryan was released at under-16s and they both went to Tottenham, and are doing well for themselves now.”
There is no doubt that Tottenham, have solved their goalscoring woes and the start they made in the new year it shows their ability to upset the best of teams. Mauricio Pochettino’s side will be fighting hard for a top four finish. Spurs currently sit fifth on the table, two points adrift of fourth place Soutnahpton and three behind Manchester United. However the White Hart Lane side need to build on their terrific result in the second half of the campaign.
