The English Premier League clubs Tottenham, Liverpool and Newcastle have been in the hunt for Burnley striker Danny Ings, who has caught the attention of these clubs. The 22 year old striker is looked upon as a future prospect by these clubs who wish to strengthen their sides by adding him to their squad. Now, recent reports have dealt a blow to their hopes as the former England U-21 international is in talks with Chelsea who have suddenly joined the race to acquire his services.
Burnley know they will lose their star as he is out of contract at the end of this season and wanted by a list of clubs. Boss Sean Dyche and the board have a choice to make whether to cash in on the player at the moment or lose him for a compensation fee of £3million at the end of the season.
The Clarets may not sell him in order to avoid relegation from the Premier League as they struggle on, but a huge bid could change their mind, if Chelsea manage to play the right cards at the right moments. Whether Ings would fit in the Chelsea system or not, remains to be seen, but at the moment the Blues want him at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea already have options in the form of Diego Costa, Didier Drogba and Loic Remy for a similar role and how the youngster would fit in remains to be seen.
The strongest interest in Ings, though, has been shown by domestic rivals Tottenham, Newcastle, Sunderland and Leicester. Also, West Brom boss Tony Pulis might be interested in the youngster if his own striker Saido Berahino moves on to Anfield for £20m, with Liverpool looking to close in on a deal for him soon, beating Spurs. The youngster has a lot of options to choose from and may eventually end up at one of these big clubs.
