After being in the hunt for quality additions for some time now, Arsenal are finally set to make a move for Roma striker Antonio Sanabria, who has recently been out of form for the Italian side.
The youngster was previously a part of Barcelona’s youth academy and has been under the radar of many European giants. According to the reports, The Gunners are keen on signing the Paraguay Under-20 international, who has failed to make an impact at Roma since arriving from the Barcelona this summer. The 18-years-old has caught Arsene Wenger’s attention and the French manager is said to be looking at Sanabria as a superstar for the future.
In other Arsenal news, the Gunners are set to lose out to rivals Chelsea in the race to sign the Real Madrid’s star defender Alvaro Arbeloa and will be looking to sign Sanabria instead. The Champions League holders and Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti is believed to be not interested in acquiring the services of the 32 year old in their campaign this season, despite the recent problems that Real Madrid is facing. The latest reports do suggest that Chelsea are now favorites to sign Arbeloa , meaning that Arsenal may need to look elsewhere to secure few much needed defensive signings.
