Holland midfielder Daley Blind, who was forced off during the first half of United’s 3-1 win over Burnley on Wednesday night has revealed that he hopes to make a comeback to the team when Manchester United face Preston on Monday in the FA Cup. Blind took a blow to the head and later was forced to add a few stitches to the cut close to his eye. United’s medical staff feared the possibility of a concussion which would keep him out of action for sometime. However, Blind has assured fans of a swift recovery and further posted a message on Instagram that said,
“Thanks for all the messages, I feel much better now. Happy with the important 3 points.”
Blind has been out injured a lot since joining United in a £16m move from Ajax last summer and his recent impressive form has earned him a spot in Louis van Gaal’s starting eleven. United travel to Deepdale for the fifth round clash in the FA Cup, looking to avoid a defeat and keeping their hopes of winning a title alive this season.
