Louis van Gaal might look to cash in one of his biggest summer purchases Ángel Di María, if recent reports are to be believed. The Argentinean superstar who joined the Manchester side last summer has been facing quite a few problems since joining the Red Devils. The Dutch manager could look to potentially seize this opportunity and use Di Maria’s high price tag to make a big money deal with current French champions Paris Saint-Germain.
This could help the Dutchman to gather enough funds to sponsor a move for the trio of World Cup winning German defender Mats Hummels, Uruguayan international Diego Godín and young Brazilian defender Marquinhos. All three are defenders and van Gaal might want to add this much needed quality to his defence, which he feels has been the weak link in his side, so far.
However, latest reports from Independent reveal that the Argentine is happy at Old Trafford according to his agent Jorge Mendes. “He was at Real Madrid and wanted to go to another of the world’s best teams; now he is and he is happy,” the super-agent told ESPN.
How things shape up, shall be seen once the season is over and the transfer window is open once again.
