Predicted Manchester United Line-Up vs Sunderland: Juan Mata To Start

Manchester United created a new record last week in the Premier League, but it was one that they wish would be wiped clean. Louis Van Gaal’s team was beaten by Swansea for the first time, they completed a league double for the first time in the history of the club and the fact that Van Gaal even stated that his team forgot to score will not go down well with a lot of the United faithful.

4th place even seems to be in trouble thanks to the form of Liverpool and Tottenham but United have to now gear up and face Sunderland who are the draw specialists in the League. Robin Van Persie seems sure to miss the game as he was seen leaving Swansea on crutches, with the striker not sure about his return we try to predict the line-up for Manchester United as they return to action in the Premier League.

David De Gea

David De Gea

David De Gea

The star player of this current United team, at least in terms of form, he cannot be dropped and hopefully will be able to keep United in the game against Sunderland.

Marcos Rojo

The one defender who seems to be doing well, Rojo could be shifted to a right back role to help provide Manchester United with some width as they try to get 3 points against Sunderland.

Phil Jones

Jones should be starting in the match against Sunderland, United do not really have many options in centre back though.

Chris Smalling

Smalling didn’t play against Swansea but he should get a chance to start against Sunderland and would be looking to cement his position in the starting XI.

Luke Shaw

Shaw was substituted in the game against Swansea but his crossing and attacking ability should ensure that he starts the game at left back for Manchester United.

Daley Blind

A player who cannot be dropped. Blind should start another game for United and hopefully would do well for them.

Ander Herrera

The midfielder scored a good goal against Swansea and should partner Blind in central midfield.

Marouane Fellaini

Fellaini seems to have found his bearings back at United and it seems that Louis Van Gaal likes to play with Fellaini, hopefully we won’t see any more long balls hoofed up to him.

Angel di Maria

Another game where di Maria didn’t live up to his expectations, he really needs to start playing well for the club and this could be the chance he needs.

Juan Mata

While Mata was on the bench against Swansea, he should start against Sunderland as United would need some creativity to come from the midfield.

Wayne Rooney

The only striker who seems to be in a bit of form, Rooney should start as the striker for Manchester United as they try to get back to winning ways.

Sports, music, comics, humor, television, movies and madness. The perfect combination.
