REPORT: Arsenal look to make humongous bid to fed off Barcelona’s interest from midfield target

Arsenal are preparing a ‘huge sum’ to bid for Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, to beat Spanish giants Barcelona, for his signature, according to what has been reported recently by the Metro. The Gunners have been chasing the Frenchman for quite some time now, but have not had any major success yet and will look to sign him once again, in the summer transfer window. Southampton blocked his potential move to the Emirates in January, as they had lost a long list of players in the summer and did not wish to lose more.

Further, Barcelona are lurking around as well, despite their transfer ban and Arsenal are preparing an offer, in order to fend off any sort of interest from Catalonia. The report further indicates that talks might have already taken place between the two parties and the French midfield powerhouse might even move to north London soon, as he is one of Arsene Wenger’s top priorities for the summer window.
