Sometimes the transfer market throws up certain news which might not a certainty, but could be a shocking possibility. Now recent reports suggest that former Arsenal, Manchester City, Real Madrid striker Emmanuel Adebayor might be wanted by Chelsea, with Jose Mourinho considering him the perfect replacement for Didier Drogba. The superstar is currently at Tottenham and had managed to score a tally of eight goals in 22 games during his previous spell under José Mourinho on loan at Real Madrid.
Adebayor had praised Mourinho in the past, saying he is “a good manager and I have always had respect for that man” and the feeling was mutual if rumours are to be believed. With Didier Drogba set to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, another strong striker would be needed by the Portuguese manager if he wants to maintain the high level of football displayed by The Blues this season. Not just Chelsea, West Ham too tried signing the Togolese striker in January and will surely look to sign the superstar once again, who currently is paid £100,000 a week at Spurs for being a mere spectator.
