Premier League giants Liverpool and Arsenal have both expressed an interest in acquiring the services of Mario Suárez, the Atlético Madrid midfielder. The big guns from England are both looking to improve the squad for next season and have their sights set on the Spanish international.
However, things have not gone as per what they have planned, as the clubs have been warned off by the Spaniard’s agent. 28 year old Suarez is also being tracked by Italian outfit Inter Milan according to Manuel García Quilón, who recently spoke to Football Italia and stated,
“He is a spectacular player and the Italians wanted him.”
“He was followed in January by three or four Italian teams, including Milan, Inter and Napoli.”
“At the moment I couldn’t say if there are any meetings planned but it’s true that in the past he was pursued by Milan.”
“We’re talking about an extraordinary player, who can represent the season’s best signing for any team.”
The defensive midfielder who joined the Spanish champions in 2010 has made a total of 116 appearances for them since then and has managed to score four times. With both Brendan Rodgers and Arsene Wenger wanting to win more next season, an intense race for acquiring his services can be expected.
