Manchester United are planning to spend a huge sum of around £105m at the end of the season to make bids for the trio of Raheem Sterling, Mats Hummels and Memphis Depay. The Metro however stated that though Louis van Gaal will be provided with the necessary funding, he may have to offload flop Argentine winger Angel Di Maria, in order to do so. Hummels and Depay have been long-term targets for The Red Devils and the Manchester based side have been keeping tabs on them while Sterling’s recent contract turmoil has attracted interest from a list of clubs.
The Telegraph has a news of its own and suggested that the Dutch manager may look to launch a bid for Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho. United have been tracking the progress of the Portuguese superstar and the only problem in making a deal happen is the staggering £33m buy-out clause in his current contract. However, a potential £22m offer is set ot be made to try their luck, with a host of Champions League tracking the midfielder.
