Recent reports suggest that Arsenal could be all set to make a bid for Manchester City’s midfield superstar Yaya Toure, at the end of the current campaign. The 31-year-old Ivory Coast international has been unhappy at the Etihad and will look to move away in the summer. Toure had recently suggested that he is open to a potential move as he does not wish to stay in Manchester anymore. Manuel Pellegrini’s side have struggled this season and are currently at fourth place, after being crowned champions during the last term.
In a recent interview, the Ivorian was quoted as saying,
“No amount of wages will make me stay at a club if I feel that I no longer belong there or if no challenge exists for me.”
Further, based on what the Daily Star has reported, the Gunners are just one, among a list of big European clubs, who wish to acquire the services of this midfield superstar. If Arsene Wenger does finally manage to bring him to the Emirates, it could be a huge addition to his current side.
