Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has recently said that his side have no intention of chasing for Juventus star Paul Pogba. The former Manchester United midfielder has been attracting interest from many European giants after putting in some great performances for the Serie A champions over the past few seasons. The Red Devils are looking to bring him back to Old Trafford, as manager Louis van Gaal’s side are intent to play in Champions League and win some major trophies.
Premier League leaders Chelsea too are in the hunt for acquiring the Frenchman’s services, but the La Liga giants have dismissed any interest in signing him. Speaking to RMC and RF1, Bartomeu said,
“For the moment, there is no plan to sign him.”
“I believe that every club admires great players. We also have players other teams would like to have!”
Further speaking about the transfer policy, he added,
“We have plans, but I cannot give details. For now, we’re only watching Pogba on TV.”
