Bayern Munich now seem quite keen on letting Bastian Schweinsteiger leave the club this summer. The Bundesliga champions do not seem too concerned about the possibility of their World Cup winning star’s exit as if it is something that would suit them. Manchester United are believed to the favorites to sign him this Summer.
Javi Martinez could play a major role under Pep Guardiola, who will also want Thiago Alcantara to have a more prominent role at the club. With other stars competing for a place in the starting eleven, the 30-year-old midfield superstar could be on his way out of the Allianz Arena.
Guardiola was also quoted by SportBild’s Christian Falk as previously saying, “I told him, the future depends on you… Basti has managed a great career. He must decide what he does alone.”
The club’s general manager Matthias Sammer was asked about Schweinsteiger’s recent comments while filming an ad, as he stated his intentions of achieving more with Bayern. However, Sammer’s response to Bild was “Sometimes the old quotations are nicer than the new.”
Well, the way things stand, it is not clear where the German midfielder will be next season though it seems at the moment that he could be heading for an exit.
