It is now being reported that Manchester United’s defensive target Nicolas Otamendi is quite keen on completing a move this summer and has refused to step foot in Valencia again. The claims might sound quite harsh for the fans, but could be true as a possible move has been all over the news for some time now.
Spanish newspaper Marca went on to explain that the Argentine international is expected to return to pre-season training on July 26th, after being given an extended break, as Argentina made it to the finals of the Copa America tournament before losing to Chile on penalties. Marca added the 27-year old center-back is determined to leave the La Liga giants and wants the situation to be cleared before he arrives back from his holidays.
Although, Valencia are keen to retain their star defender, If United agree to pay Otamendi’s €50m buyout clause Valencia might well and truly cash in on the Argentine.
