Nicolas Gaitan to Manchester United is almost done.
Well, right when we thought that the rumours of Nicolas Gaitan‘s apparent move to Manchester United had totally disappeared from the internet, as the club were looking to sign Pedro, the speculations have once again emerged in the media. According to a recent report by O Jogo, the Red Devils have agreed a €30m(£21m) fee for the Argentine international and are now waiting for his compatriot Angel Di Maria to leave the club before finalizing the move.
Benfica had demanded United players as part of the deal previously and were not keen on letting the 27-year-old midfield superstar leave unless their demands were met.
However, it is now believed that the Portuguese outfit just want this over and done with and will let the winger leave for Old Trafford this summer, after the Premier League giants were being linked constantly with their star over the last few seasons.
Manager Louis van Gaal still feels the need of adding more attacking options to his current squad and considers Gaitan as a suitable replacement for the departing Di Maria.
