Chelsea Looking To Loan Out Midfielder And Set To Land Colombian Star Soon

Chelsea’s first ever Mexican signing Ulises Davila is all set to move to Portugal on loan for the rest of the season, reports talksport.com.

The attacking midfielder will be playing for Portuguese club Vitoria Setubal. The Club is expected to announce the transfer in the next few days. Since his arrival at Stamford Bridge, he has been on loan to Tenerife in Spain having previously had spells with Vitesse, Sabadell and Cordoba.

In 2011, Davila became the first Mexican to sign for Chelsea when he moved from Guadalajara on a five year contract. But the 23-year-old is yet to make an appearance for The Blues in top flight football.

Chelsea already have a strong midfield force and they are looking to make it stronger by adding Colombian playmaker Juan Cuadrado from Floirentina. According to sources in the club, the club will be signing him in the ongoing transfer window. The 26-year-old midfielder Cuadrado is highly rated among the big hosts of the club. They are also planning to offload Germany’s Andre Schurrle and Egypt’s Mohammad Salah before landing the Colombian International. Cuadrado has been a star of the World Cup for his team along with James Rodriguez as he attracted many good offers from top clubs before rejecting them.

Cuadrado, who recently signed a contract till 2019 with the Italian club has been rated £26.8m for which The Blues are willing to spend. He fits in Chelsea’s system as he is a hard-working and pacey wide player. His presence will reduce the workload off the likes of Willian and Eden Hazard as the games come thick and fast in the latter stages of the Premier League season. One more reason why Chelsea might want him is that Fiorentina did not play Champions League and so Cuadrado won’t be cup tied and will be available for them to play in the tournament.
