Liverpool’s young superstar Ryan Kent has signed a new deal with the Merseyside club, according to recent reports. The 18-year-old forward has extended his current contract with the Reds and used social media to announce the news to the world. Kent wrote on Twitter,
“Happy To Announce I Have Extended My Professional Contract With Liverpool Football Club.”
The youngster has been facing a lot of injury problems this season after a confident start to his year. The Englishman was impressive in both the UEFA U19 Champions league and in the U21s, but was later on out of action for several months due to a prolonged back injury.
The young star who was born in Oldham is wanted by a list of several clubs eyeing a possible move on loan, yet, it is not possible for Kent to leave Anfield due to his current injury problems. The Liverpool’s U21 manager Michael Beale recently spoke about Kent and stated,
“Ryan is a really exciting player and can play in a number of positions.”
“We can’t rush him; we’re hoping he can get some minutes in the Fulham game.”
“When he got injured we were devastated for him because at the time Ryan was getting quite a bit of interest in terms of going out on loan and was a star player in the U21s.”
