Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger would surely be happy with the way Arsenal are performing at the moment. However, as per a recent report now the Frenchman is still looking for another player who can provide him with 15 goals a season. Though Wenger did not mention whether he was talking about a current player or a new future addition, the upcoming transfer window would surely interest the fans.
The main aim that Wenger would have would be to challenge for both, the Premier League and the Champions League. Speaking after his side’s impressive 4-1 win over Liverpool at the Emirates, the French manager spoke about Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud, as they scored their 20th and 18th goals of the season respectively and stated,
“Giroud has surprised a lot of people. It shows we missed him when he was out for four months. Laurent Koscielny was out for four months too. Mesut Özil the same. They were all out together. You can see the difference.”
“I expected Aaron Ramsey to be in there as well with 10 or 15,” he continued. “We need another player who gets 10 or 15 goals but we have a good mentality and good cohesion in the team.”
“There is something happening. You can see that, you can’t cheat on that, people smell that.”
“It of course is a good basis, and defensively we are getting better.”
