Although Chelsea have a mighty lead at the top of the Premier League table, the recent injury to Spanish international Diego Costa would surely be a major concern at the club. Further, club legend Didier Drogba could be set to leave Stamford Bridge, at the end of the current season and this could force manager Jose Mourinho to add another attacking option.
Now, recent reports are suggesting that FC Tokyo president Naoki Ogane has told the media that the west London side have made an offer for Japanese striker Yoshinori Muto. The offer that has been made is believed to be around £4million and Ogane said,
“It is true that Chelsea sent us an offer for Muto. It is a formal offer with conditions. They want to acquire him in the summer.”
In response to this the 22-year-old spoke about the transfer news and said,
“I’m honoured to receive an offer from this wonderful team, but I have not made any decision yet.”
