Angel di Maria has told Premier League giants Manchester United that he wishes to stay at Old Trafford and does not want to leave anytime soon. The Argentine international was expected to leave England at the end of the current campaign, as he did not have the best debut season. The 27-year-old former Real Madrid forward moved to Manchester for £59.7m last summer and has failed to live up to expectations. He has been in poor form and does not currently feature in manager Louis van Gaal’s starting eleven.
His form has not been the only concern and problems in his personal life have added to speculations of a possible exit from the club. However, The Sunday People now report that Di Maria has told van Gaal he is happy and has well settled at the centre of Manchester and wishes to stay. The People further added that the superstar winger spoke to the big guns at the club, as they had concerns about a possible exit and has now ensured everyone that he is committed and will not be leaving. This would be a huge boost for the United fans who would have hoped that he does indeed stay.
