Was I the only one who, when watching Soccer AM’s ‘Skillz School’ (was it a ‘Z’ rather than ‘S’. I really hope not for many reasons), thought “Well, yeah, that’s all well and good and impressive and all that, but what’s the real point eh? You can’t use those skills in a game and if you do, you’ll get a boot in the face ala Kerlon.”
I might have been the only one as it is only a bit of a fun and it’s a football equivalent of a knob-measuring contest so shouldn’t be taken too seriously.
However, my response to this video showing a blindfolded ‘rabona’ penaly is the same as it was to ‘Skillz School’.
It is very, very impressive but do that in a game and balls it up and your teammates will never speak to you again. And that’s the best case scenario.
Still, it is pretty cool.
