Emmanuel Eboue is a true cult hero. Totally mad and sometimes pretty decent footballer, Eboue is better known for his bonkers antics rather than his play on the football pitch.
The man did show some remarkable character, though, by coming back from being substituted as a substitute whilst playing for Arsenal and regaining the fan’s respect after they roundly, and shockingly, booed him.
Now plying his trade in Turkey playing for Galatasray, the Premier League misses some of Eboue’s craziness. It’s the violent craziness that we sometimes see out of Mario Balotelli (imagine those two in a room) but quite a playful and fun eccentricity that made Eboue a much loved character during his time in the Premier League.
