With all this talk of spectacular over head kicks (Yes, Zlatan) I thought I’d share with you one of my personal favourites.
Trevor Sinclair was a pretty decent player in his time. He made 560 appearances overall throughout his career for numerous clubs and was able to knock in a goal or two here and there. He wasn’t tremendously prolific but he did score a couple. He also notched up twelve caps for England which is always a nice thing to put in your resume.
This goal, though, whilst playing for QPR in the FA Cup is what most people remember him for. A truly brilliant strike, on the volley, and bolted straight into the roof of the net from just outside the area. Maybe not quite as good as Zlatan’s but still outstanding in its own right.
