Some players have a knack for making the game of football incredibly easy to play. Dimitar Berbatov is one of those players.
Throughout his entire career he probably hasn’t broken into sweat whilst on the football pitch such is his languid approach to the beautiful game but his touch and silky smooth skills make him a joy to watch.
Currently seeing out the end of his career with Fulham the Bulgarian has enjoyed stints with Tottenham Hotspur and, most notably, Manchester Unitedwhere he won a few league titles. He scored brilliant goals at both clubs but his best has to be from his time in Germany with Bayer Leverkusen during their 2004/05 Champions League tie with Roma.
Agent Berba receives the ball just inside the area, flicks it up and over the defender (naughty) and then finishes it off by chipping the keeper from the tightest of angles. If ever a goal personified a player than this has to be with Berbatov. It has skill, fantastic technique and a touch of class.
Despite being 32 years old Berbatov still shows off some vintage tekkers in the Premier League and has managed to score 11 goals in 24 appearances for the Cottagers this season.
He won’t score a better one than this, though.
