Well it seems there will be two Italian internationals in the Parma squad next season – Antonio Cassano and Amauri. So, how will theshape up together to form a strike partnership?
The once “Bad boy”of Italian football has made a sensational move to Italian side Parma for an undisclosed fee from his previous employers Inter. The 30-year-old striker has spent alot of time in Europe playing for Real Madrid, Milan, Sampdoria, Inter and his home team Bari.
Cassano had been an inspiration to the teams he had played for and will come with great competition with his strike partner Amauri who dominated the Serie A with Palermo, but once he transferred to Italian champions Juventus, he had dipped a little in the scoring category.
The former Inter man has been on the score sheet 96 times in over 300 appearances and will want to impress Coach Roberto Donadoni and the Italian national coach Cesare Prandelli if he wants a staring place in next years World Cup tournament in Brazil.
What will be in store for the upcoming Serie A season? We will just have to wait and see if Cassano and Amauri can propel Parma into the Champions League.
