West Ham are currently sat in 17th place in the Premier League table, out of the drop zone solely on goal difference. With this in mind, here are three reasons why I believe the Irons can avoid relegation.
1) Ravel Morrison
The young playmaker has been extraordinary this season and by far their most impressive player. The former Manchester United midfielder has shown why he was once so highly tipped to become the next big thing at Old Trafford, and has kept things ticking down at Upton Park.
He has created 10 chances and scored three goals for the Hammers so far this season and if they can keep hold of his services then I believe that they can stay up.
2) Good blend
Through the squad West Ham have a nice blend of youth and experience. The older heads in the group like Kevin Nolan, Jussi Jaaskelainen, James Collins and Carlton Cole compliment the likes of Morrison, Jack Collison, Blair Tugott, Elliott Lee and 19-year-old midfielder Matthias Fanimo.
3) The fans
The West Ham fans have always been a loyal bunch and are not afraid to make themselves the extra man. Upton Park is always rocking whether the home side is on top or not, and they know exactly how it feels to be relegated from the top tier so will be doing everything in their powers to help the players succeed.
