Barcelona are supposedly in favour of Manchester United signing Cesc Fabregas as they failed to qualify for the Champions League last season. Reports are suggesting that the Red Devils have move ahead of the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool, and I think Old Trafford would be the best option for the Spain international. Here’s why.
Should he join United, he would almost certainly be the main man in the middle and I think he would thrive off that. Chelsea have the likes of Matic, Oscar and Hazard, while Arsenal have Ramsey and Mesut Ozil. Liverpool have Steven Gerrard and Philippe Coutinho, but United have struggled in midfield for the last year or two.
Fabregas would have Michael Carrick behind him guarding the defence so he would be able to play with freedom and he would creative players playing around him.
With United’s expectations so low, Fabregas would have the platform to be a real favourite at Old Trafford if he was able to help them shoot back to the top of the Premier League table, too.
The move seems a good one to me. What do you think?
