Chelsea Set To Announce £32m Signing BEFORE World Cup – Player Report

After weeks of speculation linking Diego Costa with a move to Chelsea, the Express are reporting that the Blues will announce the Spain international as their new £32m signing before the World Cup.

This is obviously good news, as those affiliated with the club can sit back and watch him strut his stuff for Spain, but what exactly will they be getting for their money?

The first thing you notice when watching the forward is the aggression that he implements in his game. He buzzes round the pitch throwing his weight around and it works in his favour when it comes to aerial battles. This is something that the Blues have lacked since Didier Drogba left the club.

As well as scoring goals – he has netted 56 times in 96 games over the last two seasons with Atletico Madrid – Costa is a creative player. Last season he made 45 key passes in his 34 La Liga games and his 108 shots has also provided a lot of opportunities for his team-mates.

He is a typical Jose Mourinho forward and I think this could be the difference between silverware and another empty season.

Blues, what do you think?
