Mario Balotelli may have sunk England on Saturday night by scoring the winner for Italy, but he may be returning to the country after the World Cup. The Mirror are suggesting that Arsenal will offer him a way back to the Premier League in a deal worth £25 million – a move that I think would be a good one for all parties.
AC Milan are said to want rid of the troublesome striker despite his strong goal scoring record at the San Siro. Balotelli has played 43 Serie A games for the Italian giants and scored 26 goals.
Arsenal would obviously benefit because they are said to be looking to strengthen their frontline with an experienced forward – a label that Balotelli boasts. He has well over 200 club appearances for Inter, Manchester City and AC Milan combined.
At City between 2010-2013, Balotelli scored 30 goals in 80 games, which doesn’t seem like a huge amount. However he also creates opportunities, brings other players into the game and makes opponents nervous in his play.
Should he arrive at the Emirates over the summer then it would allow AC Milan to free up some wages, it would provide Arsenal with goals and also provide Balotelli the stage to prove himself in England once more.
