Well, this is exactly the news all Arsenal fans have been waiting for. Theo Walcott has finally returned to full training following his lengthy absence with a knee injury. The England star hasn’t played since Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Tottenham in January. The 25-year-old was pictured in first-team training with the Gunners ahead of Saturday’s match with Hull.
Walcott’s return provides a great boost for Arsenal. The London side have a plethora of injuries to key player like Mesut Ozil who is now ruled out for 12-15 weeks thanks to a knee injury suffered over the international break. Walcott is expected to be on the bench in the weekend.
The pacy winger capable of playing as a forward will give manager Arsene Wenger a certain positive energy. Serge Gnabry, who has been out since March with a knee problem, also trained on Monday.
Wenger also revealed that Olivier Giroud is recovering well from his fractured tibia. “Olivier Giroud is recovering very well. I believe he is ahead of schedule in terms of rehabilitation. The operation went perfectly.”
