The Juventus-Arturo Vidal- Manchester United saga is continuing and dragging over from the summer transfer window. There were numerous reports by English Tabloids, Italian Media Outlets as well as Chilean reports which claimed that the midfielder was close to sign for the Red Devils. Today’s reports from English Media outlet DAILY EXPRESS claim that the Bianconeri have now raised their asking price for the Chilean.
It is believed that United are preparing a bid worth around £30m after seeming to have dropped their interest in Kevin Strootman. But the report claims that Real Madrid are also interested in Vidal and Juventus have now raised their asking price. Its understandable given they don’t want to part with tehir prized asset and a likely bidding war from the potential suitors will mean that the reigning Serie A Champions will get the most out of the deal.
While Ancelotti attempts to beef up his squad options in the upcoming transfer window, Louis Van Gaal has also made his intentions clear. The Manchester United manager will go all out in his attempts to sign a central midfielder, who would be the key for the Red Devils. While Micheal Carrick is recovering from a long injury layoff, only Daley Blind is playing as a proper central defensive midfielder, that too in a makeshift position. Thus United require a midfield enforcer who can build attacks from teh back and also the attacking issues up front. Vidal perfectly fits teh bill for United.
Massimilliano Allegri though has reinstated that he is not willing to part with Vidal no matter what. But the report mentions that Juventus will try to sign arsenal and Chelsea target Sami Khedira as a possible replacement while also earning a substantial profit. So would the Chilean leave despite his niggling injury worries or is its another beefed up transfer story?
