Chelsea Injury News – Jose Mourinho Reveals Both Fabregas And Ramires Are Out For Some Time

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed that summer acquisition Cesc Fabregas could miss a game or two due to injury. The Portuguese said, “Fabregas, in this moment, I think maybe is a problem for the next match because we gambled everything on a hamstring problem and the medical department took the risk together with me, so a special word for them and for Ramires and Fabregas.

Brazilian midfielder Ramires was substituted in the 54th minute and was replaced by compatriot Willian and Mourinho revealed that the former Benfica man played with an adductor injury as did Fabregas who played despite carrying an hamstring injury, “Ramires’ is the same adductor injury. He knew it was important I started with him, and Fabregas is a fantastic professional. He gambled.”

“Every player was fantastic, but I need to tell you about Fabregas and Ramires. They both played injured. Maybe we will lose them for a match or two but they put themselves out there for the team.

“I think it’s fair for me to give a word to Ramires and Fabregas and also to my medical department.

“The medical department did fantastic work on them and they were fantastic to resist the problems that they had,” he added.

Fabregas’ injury could mean that Spain will be the ultimate losers as they face Belarus and World Cup holders Germany in the international break. Mourinho felt that the injury should restrict his leading assist maker to stay back and not travel for the games, but went on to add that it is upto Fabregas to decide, “No he can’t go. Well he can if he wants, but he can’t.”

Chelsea’s win over Liverpool has put them 8 points clear of current Champions Manchester City and 4 clear of nearest competitors Southampton who aren’t being considered serious title contenders at the moment. There is a growing feeling that Mourinho’s men will clinch the title this season as they have been brilliant against the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea and are still unbeaten in the League so far.
