Manchester United’s summer signing Angel Di Maria has assured the fans that he will work harder and get better. The Argentine superstar, did not have a great game against Southampton at Old on Sunday, as Manchester United suffered a shocking 1-0 defeat and dropped to fourth place. The Argentine who made a sensational start to life in the Premier League, making a record £59.7m summer switch from Spanish giants Real Madrid has managed to score three goals for the Red Devils so far. Also he has three assists to his name in his first five games in England under Dutch manager Louis van Gaal.
The 26 year old has struggled since his hamstring and pelvic injuries and is still fighting hard to stay fit. Di Maria is still confident he will regain full fitness soon and be back to his best form soon. In an interview to DirecTV Sport, he said,
“I come from another league and the Premier League is more intense. I am yet to get used to this change. Lately I am playing in a more advanced role and I am felling comfortable. I hope things go well in the future. I had a bad run of injuries and spent some time off the field. Now I’m back, game by game things are going better. You will feel more comfortable and get to know your teammates better. I hope I can continue on this path. I returned the other day. I scored a goal and that gives confidence.”
Manchester United who are just tow points behind third place Southampton hope to improve in the future to finish in top 4. With other injured players returning to action as well and with expected new additions, interesting few weeks ahead for the Men in Red.
