(PICTURE): Arsenal team mate soothes Mesut Ozil after nasty injury

Arsenal have suffered a major injury blow as Mesut Ozil has been ruled out for 10-12 weeks with a knee injury. The news came from German national team’s base camp where Ozil was training. The World champions will now be without him for their two Euro qualifiers against Poland and Ireland. However in truth, the Die Mannschaft are well prepared to manage without him compared to Arsenal.

The injury will come as a major disappointment for the Gunners who lost to Chelsea last weekend in a fiesty clash at Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal teammate Lukas Podolski however rallied  round Ozil with a message of support, wishing him a speedy recovery in his Instagram account.

Podolski wrote, “Damn!! Get well bro! Hope you’re back on the pitch soon!!!”

Ozil however hasn’t lived up to his billing ever since joining Arsenal since last summer. Meanwhile Podolski hasn’t also been able to muster enough game time and has consistently warmed the sidelines. Can the German finally make his presence felt now after Ozil’s long term layoff?
