REPORT: Liverpool, United and Arsenal target to sign for Fierce Rivals?

Reports from English Tabloid DAILY MAIL claim that Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus might well be on his way to fierce rivals Bayern Munich. Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are all interested in the German attacking midfielder. But Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has now revealed that the Bavarian Giants are weighing up a bid for the player and aim for his signature in the summer.

Manchester City are also interest in Reus and it is believed that he has a £20m price tag which is set to kick in in the summer. Bayern have already signed Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski from Dortmund in the last two summers and a move for Reus might intensify the rivalry between the two sides. Should Dortmund be unable to keep the player, they can consider to sell him away from Germany. A move to the Premier League might then materialize with a host of clubs interested to acquire his signature.

Bayern’s interest will likely irritate Dortmund’s chairman Hans-Joachim Watzk further who has spoken out against Bayern several times for the way they have pursued his club’s key players. Dortmund sit 14th in the Bundesliga after three consecutive league defeats.

Rummenigge however was quoted as saying, “To be honest, we’ll discuss the matter internally and calmly. Then we will come to a decision. At the end of the day, the player has to decide too. His release clause is well known. There’s nothing more to say. Speculation about Reus joining Pep Guardiola’s team intensified after Gotze said last week that he ‘would be really happy if he [Reus] would come here”.

So would Reus join Bayern? Or is a move to the Premier League more likely?
