Transfer Blow For Chelsea: Serbian Starlet Denies All Speculations

Premier League top-guns Chelsea were eliminated from the FA Cup on Saturday evening after a shocking defeat in the fourth round against Bradford City at Stamford Bridge. The Blues played poorly and suffered a 2-4 defeat at home to the League One side as they were completely stunned after losing a 2-0 lead in the game .

Now, it looks like the Portuguese manager is to bring more quality players to the Bridge and strengthen his side. TalkSPORT had reported on Monday that Chelsea were keen of signing Serbian starlet Danilo Pantić, who is currently with Serbian side FK Partizan. The 19 year old midfielder has also caught the attention of Serie A champions Juventus, according to reports and both clubs were trying to acquire his services.

The Blues had held talks with the youngster and were hoping to finalize £1m deal for the 18-year-old this week, but the Serbian midfielder has confirmed that no such deal has been agreed and dismissed the rumours. In an interview, when asked about these speculations surrounding Chelsea, Pantic told Partizan Belgrade’s site,

“I have been the talk of the town lately, but I know I didn’t sign anything with Chelsea. They showed interest, but no concrete deal was signed. I am still a Partizan player and I still have five more months left on my contract.”

Such speculations have been going around since the January transfer window has opened and rumours have been flying around in all directions. According to the current news, the player has denied signing any contract or deal with the Premier League side and things are unclear at the moment, as to where his future lies.
