How high can the Baggies go?

So far this season the table is already shaping up in a familiar fashion.  Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal and Spurs are already all in the top seven.  However, in amongst these titans are Everton in third and the comparative minnows of West Brom in fourth.  While much has been made of Everton’s start, everyone expected West Brom to fade as the season got underway.  So far this is not proving to be the case.

Adkins minority exposes fickleness of football fans

Recently after the 6-1 drubbing of Southampton by Arsenal, I heard some bizarre criticisms begin to be levelled at Southampton.  Claims that the side had been promoted a season too early and that, although the Saints couldn’t buy players because the transfer window had passed, the club could still get rid of Nigel Adkins, their manager.  I have a few issues with this that I will now address.

It was truly one of the best managerial celebrations in recent years.  However I put this down to the lack of decent celebrations more than the specialness of the Special One.

Gunner’s Game on Sunday creates new Football cliché.

So far this season Arsenal have made a start to the season that has won them many admirers and given fans a newfound belief that their team can challenge for silverware.  Despite this impressive start, pundits are warning that we should not be so quick to compliment Mr Wenger’s new look side, and perhaps they’re right.

Arsenal Football Club is world famous for their impeccable youth facilities.  Many of the Gunner’s greatest players have come straight out of their youth academy.  Amongst the list of famous academy graduates are Tony Adams, Cesc Fabregas, Ashley Cole and Jack Wilshere.

Not your average 2nd division Danish match (video)

When you think Danish second division goalkeeper, you immidiately think less of amazing saves and firstclass goalkeeping and instead think of a slightly overweight man who goes down the park on a saturday with his mates for a kick about before a cold scandinavian beer.
