Manchester United were in need of creativity in their midfield recently and they duly got it. Juan Mata was drafted in to Old Trafford to provide David Moyes’ men with an inventive hub, and has already shown his worth in just one game. Now, in my opinion, they need someone to play alongside Mata and co and keep the ball moving quickly whilst also operating as a box-to-box player. That may just happen too, as the Express are suggesting a move  for Bayern Munich’s Tony Kroos could very well be on the cards.

Liverpool fans across the country have reason to be pleased with this season so far. Not only are they currently fourth in the Premier League table but they are also starting to see the results of Brendan Rodgers’ hard work with his young players.

Life as a Blackpool fan is tough right now. Not only are we now without a permanent manager but we are also slipping down the Championship table after 10 league games without a win. It gets worse though. Much worse.

According to the Metro, Chelsea have reached a verbal agreement to sign Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa. Sure, a verbal agreement could mean very little, as there is nothing in writing to say the Brazilian-born goal-getter will be playing at Stamford Bridge next season, but Blues fans can rejoice in the fact it looks like it could come true. Why should they celebrate? I’ll tell you why.

When people suggest that Arsenal need a striker, my mind automatically jumps to one man. He may not have the big reputation that you may associate with a club at the top of the Premier League, nor does he have the experience of some of the names that have been mentioned with the Gunners, but he has scored a hatful of goals and has proved how creative he has been this season. Guessed it yet? I doubt it, as the player I refer to is Herenveen’s Alfred Finnbogason.

Arsenal fans are thoroughly enjoying this season , and rightly so. After waiting so long for a trophy and being the butt of so many jokes, the Gunners are in a strong position  to pick up some silverware this season and get one over current champions Manchester United, who are flapping in seventh place.

With Juan Mata now seemingly on his way to MAnchester United and Kevin de Bruyne having already left to Wolfsburg, Chelsea have lost a lot of creativity this transfer window. However, they are hardly short of it, with the likes of Eden Hazard, Oscar and Willian on the books. To replace what they have lost though, I would target this chap – Ivan Rakitic.
