Chelsea In Driver’s Seat To Break British Transfer Record

Reports from English media Mirror and ESPN claim that Chelsea are all set to break the British transfer record for a defender as they set sights on Everton and England defender John Stones. Having already seen a £20m bid rejected, the Blues are poised to make a £34m bid, which is around £2 million higher than what Manchester City had paid for Eliaquim Mangala.

Although it is said that Everton manager Roberto Martinez is prepared to hold on to his player as he has already voiced his anger at how the Blues made their pursuit of the player public.

At just 21, Stones has already won the English National cap and has established himself as a mainstay in the heart of the Everton defence, which has seen the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United also monitoring the situation.

However, Chelsea are determined to land their man, and are confident that they would be able to attract Stones if a fee can be agreed. Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s pre-season game against New York Red Bulls, Mourinho added: “It’s a good market.

“That is why smaller clubs, if they have interesting young English players, use that in the right way for them.

“I don’t criticise them. They play the market for themselves.

“If the big clubs don’t want to go over certain limits, they have to make a decision. And that is maybe why none of the top clubs are full of young English players. But that is the market.”

In a desperate attempt to hold onto Stones, Everton club chairman has come out and praised the youngster.

‘We’ve worked really hard to stabilise this club and we’ve got a great squad, a young squad… (Romelu) Lukaku and John Stones, who has to be the best centre back in England,’ Kenwright told the Newcastle Chronicle.

Deal Done! Chelsea Complete Yet Another Deal

According to reports, Serbian starlet Danilo Pantic has now joined Premier League champions Chelsea and has further confirmed his loan move to Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem. The Partizan Belgrade midfield superstar signed a four-year deal with the Blues, as talks were completed with the SW6 club last month.

However, despite the move, it has been stated officially that Pantic will spend the upcoming season at feeder club Vitesse Arnhem, as manager Jose Mourinho would want him to get as much first-team action as possible.

Recently after the deal was completed the 18-year-old superstar spoke to VitesseTV and said, “I signed a contract with Chelsea in June but I’m now on loan with Vitesse and I’m very happy. This is a very good experience for me.”

The west London side had a successful previous campaign winning both the Premier League title and the League Cup and the Portuguese boss will be looking to defend those titles, also focusing his attention on winning the Champions League as well.

Wow! Chelsea agree deal to sign midfield superstar this summer, ahead of London rivals Arsenal

According to recent reports from the Metro, west London side Chelsea are now set to complete the signing of midfielder Charles Aranguiz, after the Blues finally agreed a fee with Brazilian club Internacional. Manager Jose Mourinho has been looking to strengthen his squad ahead of the upcoming season and was targeting the 26-year old superstar who impressed at the recently concluded Copa America tournament.Mourinho’s side will now look to negotiate personal terms with the 26-year-old Chilean international, who was also being monitored by London rivals Arsenal.
The Portuguese boss is aiming to win the Champions League title, after winning the Premier League and the League Cup in the previous season. The signing would surely be a huge boost for his side, though rumours had previously stated that he was keen on joining his compatriot Alexis Sanchez at the Emirates.
However, once negotiations are completed, Aranguiz will be moving to Stamford Bridge and could be a vital player for Chelsea in the upcoming years. Aránguiz’s box-to-box abilities were in evidence in last year’s World Cup, including scoring a crucial goal against Spain, and in helping his country to the Copa America title earlier this month. And after reports of Chelsea’s interest at the weekend, the Daily Star is now reporting that the Blues are in talks over an £8 million transfer.

Chelsea Transfer News: £22m Done Deal For Attacker, Roman Abramovich Involved In Transfer Move, Winger Set For Exit

Premier League champions Chelsea added Asmir Begovic as Petr Cech’s replacement after the 33-year-old superstar joined north London rivals Arsenal a few weeks ago amidst interests from several other clubs.

Further, rumours are getting louder about the Blues’s imminent move to sign Barcelona’s Pedro, which in all possibility is likely to be completed next week for a reported fee of £22m.

The Spanish media was totally confused about the situation and Marca added that the Catalan side would accept a €30m offer from the west London club, but it was the 27-year-old forward’s decision to move or stay. Mundo Deportivo added that Pedro was himself confused, though no offers from the London club were officially made.

Elsewhere, Mohammed Salah is all set to leave Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis, with the Egyptian winger refused to move back on loan to Fiorentina.

Calciomercato further stated that the Portuguese boss has frozen Salah out of the squad and the winger is training with the club’s youngsters. He will not be a part of their tour as well, with Serie A giants Inter keen on signing him for a price of £14.2m.

Lastly, there are some serious reports that Roman Abramovich has taken personal interest to land Belgium International Alex Witsel at Stamford Bridge and has traveled to Russia to seal the deal. The Blues owner sees the midfielder as a replacement for John Obi Mikel and is ready to hijack his potential move to AC Milan.

The Belgium midfielder has also attracted interest from Manchester United previously.

Almost Done! Chelsea To Sign £22m Star Next Week After Beating Arsenal And Liverpool In The Race

Chelsea are now looking to complete the £22m signing of Barcelona’s Pedro Rodriguez, now that the European champions have signed Arda Turan. The Blues were engaged in talks with the Turkish international from Atletico Madrid, though the attacking midfielder chose to join the Catalan giants instead.

Due to this, manager Jose Mourinho has been forced to reignite his interest in the Spanish international, according to a report from Fichajes.net. Further English newspaper Telegraph reports that Chelsea have beaten off competition from Arsenal and Liverpool to sign Barcelona star Pedro – and they expect to complete a £22 million deal next week!

The Portuguese manager is a huge fan of the Spaniard, who can play a versatile role up front and is a hardworking winger, with lots of experience to his name as well.

Barcelona were not too keen on letting the 27-year old leave before they had signed a replacement and now that Turan has arrived at Nou Camp, it could mean that Pedro might be playing his football elsewhere next season.

Although Pedro extended his contract recently, it is reported that he is free to leave if he wishes to as a four year contract awaits him at Stamford Bridge.

‘A deal I’ve always dreamed of!’ Chelsea fans excited about rumours linking superstar forward with the club

Champions of England, Chelsea are now looking to sign Barcelona forward Pedro, according to recent reports coming from Spain. The Blues were keen on adding more attacking options to their current squad, with manager Jose Mourinho looking to bring in some quality additions this summer.

Newspaper Sport further added that the player who recently signed a new deal with the Catalan side, is available for a price of £22m and the west London side will look to trigger his release clause.

With Turkish international Arda Turan’s arrival at the Nou Camp, it has now become quite impossible for the Spanish international to get first-team chances. Further Mourinho and Pedro’s ex-team-mate Cesc Fabregas have tried to convince him that his future lies at Stamford Bridge and the star should move to England soon.

Further Barcelona manager Luis Enrique has admitted that he will not stand in Pedro’s ways if he decides to leave. The clause in Pedro’s contract makes it impossible to stop him leaving the Camp Now even though Enrique made it clear that he wants him to stay.

Enrique said: “I don’t want anyone to leave but there is a clause. We have to respect his decision.

“I do not deceive anyone and I do not guarantee anyone playing time. It will be his personal decision.”

With these rumours in the transfer market and a deal looking on the cards, Chelsea fans seem quite excited about the possibility of a deal, despite a few dissenting voices as well.

DEAL DONE? Chelsea Inches Away From Sealing A Deal For This Arsenal Target

Charles Aranguiz to Chelsea?

Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea side are looking to sign Charles Aranguiz from Brazilian side Internacional. The 26-year-old superstar was an integral part of Chile’s Copa America side that won the tournament and reportedly, Arsenal and Manchester City are also keeping tabs on him.

The Blues have good links with the Brazilian club after signing Oscar from them in 2012 and will look to seal an £8m deal for the Chilean international. These reports also suggest that Chelsea are in advanced talks with the Brazilian club and deal is expected to be completed in the coming weeks.

Chelsea Could Rob Manchester United Off This Defender As Super Agent Involved!

Reports from Spanish publication Superdeporte suggest that the doors are open for Nicolas Otamendi’s potential move to England now. The article claimed that once again many big European clubs were looking to complete a move for the Argentine international.

Super Deporte further added that Eugenio Lopez, Otamendi’s agent will have a meeting with Real Madrid’s Florentino Perez this week.

The Valencia newspaper thinks that Otamendi’s first choice would be the former European champions, though Jose Mourinho is keen on signing him along with Manchester City, United and Paris-Saint Germain.

The agent spoke to Cope in Spain last week saying that Otamendi wouldn’t be a Ramos replacement and stated, “Before Sergio Ramos goes, if he does, from Real Madrid, Otamendi will already be playing for another club.”

Well this would give the Blues some hope, who are themselves looking to add more quality defenders to their squad this summer.

At this point, Lopez has contacted Super-agent Jorge Mendes, who has a close relationship with Jose Mourinho to broker a move for the highly rated defender and he prefers to offer the centre-back to the Premier League big boys to get the best deal for the player.
