It’s official, Arsenal have completed their final signing of the window. Manchester United’s academy product and England International Danny Welbeck has signed for the Gunners in a deal which is believed to be around £16m as reported by BBC. 

In what was a shocking turn of events on the deadline day, the Gunners managed to secure Welbeck’s signature after United managed to grab the headlines as they lured Colombian sensation Radamel Falcao to Old Trafford. With Falcao’s arrival, Welbeck’s departure looked imminent and after rumours about a potential move to fellow North London club Tottenham Hotspur, the United youth product has joined Arsenal.

With Giroud’s long term injury, the former United striker will slot right into the first team to lead the attackt when Arsenal take on league Champions Man City in two weeks time.

The Gunners have announced that Welbeck will be wearing No 23 at Arsenal after his photo shoot earlier today.  Here are some pictures.
