Chelsea are now set to pay Gareth Bale’s £75m release clause to European Champions Real Madrid to complete his move back to the Premier League, at the end of the season. The Blues have been linked with the Welshman in the past few weeks and speculations suggest that he is set to leave Madrid soon. Premier League leaders have now accepted the fact that they need to pay his £75m release clause, if they indeed wish to sign him.
Bale still confirmed that he was happy at the Spanish outfit and expected to stay longer, but Jose Mourinho’s side are hoping to offer him £300,000-a-week and seal the deal to bring him to Stamford Bridge. He would surely become Chelsea’s highest paid player if he does agree to sign the contract. The club has enough financial support to purchase and pay the superstar winger, after receiving a boost to the Financial Fair Play funds that they already had.
