Reports in the Sports Mail suggest Aston Villa were closing in on Borussia Dortmund’s starlet Nuri Sahin.
The Turkish midfielder has recently rejected a revised contract, which will now see one of the hottest properties in Europe leave for as little as £5million. A clause in his contract states that anyone within the Bundesliga could snap up the talented midfielder for as little as £5million but anyone outside would have to cough up an extra £3million, a bargain in today’s market.
Real Madrid appear to have secured his services for next season, which will see him link up with Jose Mourinho, Kaka, Ronaldo, Pepe and co, so why not Villa and Reo-Coker?
