10,000+ season ticket holders set to miss out on golden ticket

An occasion every traditional football fans looks forward to, the FA Cup Final. To have your club feature in the cup final is even more exciting, this year sees Manchester City, a club hoping to end a 35 year drought take on Stoke City, a club featuring in their first FA Cup Final.

Both teams are obviously excited, probably more than the usual teams that make it like United or Chelsea making it even harder to swallow for fans unfortunate enough to miss out, the 90,000+ seats will easily have bums sat on them but not enough from each club it seems.

Each club has been allocated only 25,000 tickets each for the mouth watering event leaving 40,000 tickets available. The rest of these tickets go to mainly corporate with Club Wembley and to volunteers of grassroots football, meaning particularly for Manchester City, over 10,000 people who regularly attend matches will miss out on the final.

In my opinion I feel that tickets should be made to those who have contributed to grassroots football, they do a wonderful job however the corporate tickets do not seem to make sense, especially such a large number, it wouldn’t surprise me if some people in the corporate left at half time and not because of the football! But because it doesn’t matter them the result of the game leaving unlucky fans the unfortunate dilemma of not having the experience for both Manchester City and Stoke fans.

I’m just so glad I have my golden ticket! Come on city…….Manchester City that is!
