Another day, another PSG transfer link

Ever since Qatar investors bought a majority stake in Paris St.Germain, the rumour mill has gone slightly insane with regards to players being linked with the French club.

The Parisian side seem to have become a victim of their own wealth with agents just throwing the name of the club into the ‘interested’ section whenever one of their players is available.

Why would they do that you ask?

Firstly, having PSG interested means other clubs are likely to bid more for a certain player knowing that the Qatari’s have billions to spend.

Secondly, there is a higher lilkelyhood that a club will put a bid in earlier than planned and get the ball rolling if they know another side are the mix as well.

So tomorrow when you open up your back page and you again witness the generic PSG name alongside a top-class player, take it with a pinch of salt.
