The kings of youth development sign up another hot prospect

Borussia Dortmund seem to have a monopoly on young stars in the Bundesliga.

Close to extinction several years ago, the Westfalenstadion side have slowly built up a terrific young team who reached their pinnacle with the league title last season.

The average age of the starting line-up was 23, and with players like Gotze, Kagawa, Bender and Hummels the future looks considerably rosey.

If having all these players to themselves wasn’t enough, they seem intent on nabbing all the other hot prospects in German football as well now, starting with Marco Reus, one of the brightest stars in Europe.

The Borussia Monchengladbach forward has agreed to move to his hometown club in the summer and coupled with the rumour that Mario Gotze could be staying put, The Yellows look a formidable outfit for the coming years.

Unlike their Bavarian counterparts over in Munich though, the Rhineland club are difficult to hate because of the manner in which they have re-built the side.

But if you’re reading this Dortmund, at least leave some of them alone for other teams….for the sake of German football.
