Neville certain Fergie team talk was heated
Gary Neville believes Sir Alex Ferguson would have been livid during the break at Anfield with Liverpool dominant in the first half, and feels the Scot’s half time team talk did the trick as Manchester United came out on top 2-1 after ninety minutes.
It’s not the first time the Scot has inspired a United comeback, with the Manchester club having turned around many a half time deficit in the past, but this one would have been one of the sweetest for Ferguson given the occasion and emotion of the fixture.
Manchester United are a team renowned for their ability to overturn deficits, and this performance was no difference having performed poorly in the first half here. The Red Devils haven’t won as many Premier leagues as they have done without that drive and desire to be victorious in big games, and this match was no different.
